A clearer way to investigate “detox”
Detox is used to describe everything from normal body processes to ingredients, routines, products, and sweeping marketing promises. Those are not the same thing. Detox Database helps you separate them.
Use the search when you already know the ingredient, practice, product, or claim you want to investigate. Use Explore when you need a broader path into the subject.
What every entry should tell you
- What is being claimed.
- What the proposed mechanism is.
- What kind of evidence exists.
- What that evidence cannot establish.
- Which safety questions deserve attention.
- Where the information came from and when it was reviewed.
Read the strength, not just the conclusion
Not all evidence answers the same question. A laboratory finding can suggest a mechanism without proving that a practice improves a real-world health outcome. An observational study can identify a pattern without proving cause. A marketing page is evidence of what a seller claims—not evidence that the claim is true.
Keep your context in the room
Age, pregnancy, medications, diagnoses, allergies, hydration status, and symptom severity can change the meaning of a seemingly simple wellness choice. This site is educational. It cannot diagnose, prescribe, or replace individualized care.
When symptoms are severe, new, rapidly worsening, or urgent, seek appropriate medical help rather than relying on a database entry.
